The people working on in our offender services at this time, reflect what is the very best in humanity. Seeking always to give hope, purpose and new meaning to the lives of those within their care. Some 68 years after I joined the Prison Service, l remain properly proud of the Hidden Heroes who through their devotion so enrich the moral fibre of our country that no prison wall can ever hide.
